DISCLAIMER

Powder Coating Industries Rutherford (hereafter referred to as “PCI Rutherford”) provides this disclaimer to clarify the terms and conditions of our services and to ensure transparency with our valued customers.  Please read the following carefully:

  • While PCI Rutherford strives for excellence in every project, we cannot guarantee the suitability or performance of the finished product in specific applications. The suitability of our coatings for any particular purpose is the responsibility of the customer.

  • Prices for our services are subject to change without notice. Quotations provided by PCI Rutherford are valid for a limited time and may be revised as necessary. Customers are encouraged to request updated quotes before initiating any projects.

  • PCI Rutherford requires payment as outlined in the agreed-upon invoice. Failure to make payments within the specified terms may result in delays in project completion or additional charges.

  • It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect the finished product upon receipt. Any defects or issues should be reported to PCI Rutherford within a reasonable timeframe.

  • PCI Rutherford reserves the right to modify or update this disclaimer as needed. Customers and stakeholders are encouraged to review this disclaimer periodically for any changes.

Things to consider as PCI will not be held liable for inferior product finishes as per set out below:

  • Cast iron, aluminium and galvanised parts may cause bubbling in the coat.

  • Parts that are damaged during transport after it has been collected and inspected at our premises.

  • Poorly cast parts that may have surface imperfections.

  • Interior sides, compartments, or spaces of the weldment where powder coating cannot penetrate.

  • Items that have been contaminated or treated with a chemical that does not endure the curing process or causes the coat to fail.

  • Weldments and frames that have overlapping metals, trap moisture/dirt and will cause bubbles or rust if the overlapping metals are not seal welded over time.

  • Deep scratches and pit marks on the parts that can’t be sanded down will cause imperfections on the coat.

  • Welding flaws such as splatter and pin holes cause the powder to form around the hole/ball and not seal correctly, in time water will seep through and cause the coat to fail.

  • Sharp edges must be rounded to be able to hold an appropriate mil thickness of powder. Sharp edges that are not rounded will rust because of the powder not being able to adhere to the sharp edges.

  • PCI Rutherford media blasts some items prior to powder coating. If items have small overlaps or holes for media to penetrate, it may leave imperfections in the coating finish. PCI will make every attempt to remove the blast media from the item prior to coating, however, it may be difficult to remove all media due to size, shape or access.

  • Parts that warp or twist in the oven while curing.

  • Items not claimed after 5 working days of completion will incur storage charges as they take up floor space.

  • Colour variances due to changing material or powder batches are not the responsibility of PCI Rutherford.

  • After product collection and acceptance, PCI Rutherford shall not include reimbursement of any consequential expenses, for example: Installation, removal, and transportation costs.

By engaging with PCI Rutherford’s services, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined in this disclaimer. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact us for assistance.
